Yesterday, the highest price was 6054 dollars, but that number has already been surpassed today. At the same time, the market capitalization reached 100 million dollars. The new highest price until now is 6158 dollars, almost 10% more than yesterday. The market capitalization has reached 102.4 million dollars, 58.9 percent of the total market capitalization of all the cryptocurrencies out there.
New values have motivated a lot of investors who made transaction worth more than 2.7 million dollars in the last 24 hours.
Some experts think that the current rise of bitcoin is going on because many US investors are anticipating the debut of the exchange-traded funds (ETF) of bitcoin on the regulated stock exchanges, because they know it will rise the price even more and that is why there are buying bitcoins. The price is rising with the demand.
The price of the competing cryptocurrencies is going down at the moment. The price of Ethereum dropped 3.18%, Ripple dropped 5,88%, Dash 1.65%, Bitcoin Cash 1.38%, NEM 7.22%, Monero 2.69% and NEO 5.35%. The price of two cryptocurrency went up in the meantime: Litecoin rose 0.30% and BitConnect 8.89%.
